How does self storage work?

Renting a self storage unit is a great way to free up space at home or your business. Rental agreements are simple and flexible. Self storage rent runs  month to month. Customers may terminate their rental at any time with two weeks notice.

When can I access my storage unit?

You can access your storage unit 7 days a week from 6:00 AM until 10:00 PM.

What are the office hours?

Our offices are open and staffed 7 days a week.
Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM until 6:00 PM.
Saturday from 9:00 AM until 5:00 PM.
Sunday from 10:00 AM until 4:00 PM

How long may I rent a self storage unit for?

You may rent your storage unit for however long you need. The rental agreement runs on a month to month basis. We collect a minimum of one month’s rent and from there you can move out at any time with two weeks’ notice.

Are self storage units climate controlled?

Yes, Canam Self Storage provides customers climate control self storage units.
Climate controlled self storage units are kept between 12 – 26 degrees Celsius / 55 –  80 degrees Fahrenheit. Climate controlled storage is recommended for anyone storing sensitive items including clothing, furniture, electronics and more.

What can I store in my storage unit?

You may store a wide range of items including furniture, household items and business inventory.

What items are prohibited?

You may not store anything illegal, explosive, flammable, combustible or perishable. This would include weapons, propane tanks, gasoline, live animals and all types of food.

How can I pay my bill?

The best way for payment would be credit card. Canam Self Storage can enroll you on an automatic payment system that ensures you are always up to date.

Do I need to supply my own lock?

Canam Self Storage has secure locks for sale in the office.

Do you sell moving supplies?

Yes, Canam Self Storage sells boxes, wrapping paper, bubble wrap, wardrobe boxes, packing tape, and much more. All moving supplies are available for purchase in our customer service office.
